Hi everyone,
We just bought a 1993 Ford Econoline Sportsman Pop-top. I've owned quite literally 27 Vanagon Westfalia poptop campers but after restoring that many, we've decided to switch to the Sportsman vans.

Background: The previous owner began a build-out. I'm not sure if he ripped out the original layout or what the story was, but it's partially built out. We are going to change it up but we are thankful that he gave us a good start.

What we need: The canvas tent and the rubber at the base of the pop top need to be replaced. We will need to do a lot of other things but they will all be custom. But the tent and rubber seal has been illusive.

Help please: One is where to locate these but the other part... is there a video anywhere of anyone replacing this tent?

Thanks a whole lot!!!

I have a 2005 E250 Pleasureway that I recently had some work done to, including replacing the gasket. The Pleasureway top opens like your previous Westfalia vans, at an angle, but the gaskets may be similar.
The shop that did my repairs told me they sourced the gasket from Giant RV in Colton, CA., but they have several locations so you can Google which is closet to you. They also stated that if I need the canvas portion replaced they think they could get it there.
My canvas and yours are different shapes but Giant RV deals with multiple brands so they may have something for you.
Good luck

This is the Field Van rubber seal - you’d have to check to see if works for your application:

Assuming you are looking for the canvas surround, try Field Van or other sportsmobile locations...There are some slightly different gaskets, and if you take measurements/photos of yours Field can help....I have an old post with pics of two types..My Texas build was slightly different than the Fresno build. The replacement is easy, canvas a bit of a project. There are posts here on that project.

If you find one, please post it here for me. I'd appreciate it.

your only option for the canvas is SMB or Field Van... and hope they are willing to sell you just the canvas.. they may want you to come in and charge you for install.

or, remove the old one, find a good sailmaker or custom convertible top maker, and hope they can recreate it well!

I bought replacement bulb seal from McMaster Carr for half the price that the van company wanted (CCV). Found basically the same one they use, but you need to measure the thickness of your top and the width of the round part of the old seal.

That would be quite a trip for them given that the van is in Mexico. Haha...or as they text in Mexico....Jajaja. I appreciate the lead a lot.
