Seems those H1 jacks have all but disappeared, once in a while you'll see one come on the market but they tend to go quickly.
May consider monitoring this site (occasionally they get some in, but at their price they also seem to run out quickly):

These guys claim the have a couple left, but you'll pay dearly;

Don't forget the adapter if you're fortunate enough to locate a jack:

EDIT: This 3T scissor jack gets you most of the way to your goal, but the base just looks so small (maybe weld a larger plate to it???). I also don't know if it raises as high as the H1.

spot on with those links. thanks for your input.

It's rated at 4 tons.

It would be a great alternative but unless I've missed something, this Jack comes in 3 versions: Jack, Jack + extension, and Jack + extension + Bag...and each option lists the jack with the same specifications:

Specifications
Dimensions: 560mm x 130mm x 120mm (22 inches x 5 inches X 5 inches)
Weight: +-9kgs/19.84 Lbs
Min Height: 130mm/5.12 Inches
Max Height: 440mm/17.32 Inches
Effective Range of travel/lift: 310mm/12.2 Inches
Length of crank handle: 550mm/21.7 Inches
Rated Capacity: 2 Ton

Where are you seeing 4T?

What am I missing here?

RATING in the specs - 2 Ton FOR LIFTING.

A Static load is different - that is using it as a jack stand
"Tests prove support of static load in excess of 4 tons." Does not say if that is fully extended or ????

The New Holland TS120 "6.5 ton" tractor has a FRONT axle weight of 4015 pounds w/o ballast. The picture shows some ballast on the weight bar. What is being lifted is the front axle. Likely around 2.3 tons is what is being lifted and I would certainly hope that was within the safety margin.

NFW am I going over the RATED lifting spec if I were using this.

I agree with you, Ray! Just figured I would throw the links on the thread since I saw they had a US website. I think when it comes to jacks and jack stands, it's always better to go with ones that are overrated rather than underrated.

Not that long ago we'd stumble across these typically less than $100 complete with jack, tools and bag, most in near new/unused condition at that---seems they're in short supply now. :(

Using a generic Google search term: jack "5939822" brings up more than a few sites that may have them yet, pricing not nearly as most of us were lucky enough previously. Also try: "m998 scissor jack".

IMHO anything under $250 for the complete jack shipped including the tools and bag is still a good deal. Even when the Agile adapter is part of the buy at extra still a good deal.

The Gortech might be ok for our vans, but I'm not one to be the first few to try it

I'd gladly pay $250 for a complete kit that I can stow in my van with the peace of mind knowing it was made in the USA and rated for weight beyond what is needed for each of my van's axle

Long story short my son borrowed mine 4 days before my last trip, making it unavailable for me, and him unable to return it in time. So he bought me a replacement jack from Midwestmilitayequipment plus Fedex rush overnight service. Plus a "don't borrow my stuff speech" $$$$. He now has the original jack.

I can ask him if he would like to sell, I don't think $250 will make it happen, but if you would like to send me a private message I would be happy to see what I can put together.

Jeff

Thanks

I'm all set for now. Found a used kit with carrying case for $100 delivered.

Also, I found an online retailer selling them brand new for $260 plus shipping. AM General still manufactures them. Unfortunately, the old $50 pricing is long gone.
