Re: 4X4 overhang
But Jeremiah, I always thought you had some of these hanging from your hitch? Where are those marks?

Re: 4X4 overhang
Have driven "Devil's Revenge", and "Top of the World" trails in Moab area or "Dollhouse" trail in Meza district of Canyonsland with VivaLaVida, touched the rear Hitch in some places but go through without problem... But I had to lock both differentials in two places.

Re: 4X4 overhang
While this thread is on rear overhang I just wanted to note that Pschitt's rig likely sits just a bit taller than a standard Sportsmobile or Quig conversion. Not 100% certain on the height but I think Sportsmobile Cali told me theirs was about 4 to 4.5 inches of lift. His is six. My point being if you had 4.5 inches of lift and the ever popular Aluminess side rails that hang down to act as a side step, they would have been really close to hitting in pic. 1. Similar to the first response on "crowning" it may be the wheelbase length and touching down in between that is a greater concern.

Re: 4X4 overhang
You're right catmandu, VivaLaVida has a 6 inches lift. Moreover, it have airbags which allow to get about two inches more lift if needed.
Alan at Sportsmobile West told me that their lift is about 5 to 5,5".

Re: 4X4 overhang
We go almost everywhere with our EB with little issues. I am however looking for some aluminum bridging ladders for those times they are needed. They would have helped with this last trip we took to the Grand Canyon.

Those would be some loooooong ladders. Would make getting from the south rim to the north rim much quicker.

Looked into buying some aluminum ladders from this guy in Hungary. They are reinforced but to what degree I don't know. Shipping costs killed the deal.

Re: 4X4 overhang
These look good, might have to investigate. The few I have found so far won't give me accurate weight ratings. I don't see it on this site either or did I miss it somewhere?
