Salem Kroger 4x4 Sprinter Conversion Available Soon !!!

It looks like Salem Kroger is going to be the first in the US with Sprinter 4x4 conversions. Here is Craig's reply to my request for information.

Thank you for your request for information. Salem Kroger has been
quietly converting over 3,000 new and used, gas and diesel vans and
class A, B and C motorhomes to 4x4 while improving handling and safety
for almost 20 years. We are registered with the US D.O.T. for these 4x4
conversions and certify that we meet or exceed all applicable Federal
standards when built. The first Sprinter, a 24 foot Winnabago Vista is
scheduled to be here next week for 4x4 conversion. I don't know what
the final price will be until the first one is done. There are lots of
customers asking for the conversion.

If anyone is visiting SK in November see if you can get a picture or two of the Sprinter for the board.

Thanks ...

Correction ... I think Craig meant to say Winnebaggo View (not Vista). The Vista is based on a Ford chassis while the View is built on a Dodge Sprinter.

sprinter 4x4

i know that this conversion is not MB approved yet. the only approved converter is Oberaigner. Iglhaut and Achleitner is struggeling with the approval. nobody else submitted a vehicle to germany for approval. you can only get approval in germany and that takes 6 to 8 month if there is no problems to rectify.

You would have to check with S-K about the approval, but there were several being converted when I was there yesterday. Very nice looking. oclv

Yes, Sprinter. I'm not sure if it is Chrysler badged or Mercedes Benz badged, but there were several there being converted. I talked to Jerry and Craig, and they have done a bunch. Great mileage, more room. There was an Ambulance Sprinter being done and it looked great. I didn't ask many questions because I was there to do my used Ford E350,. but they were pretty excited about them. oclv
