Old style SMB spare tire carrier

I was going to reuse this but I don't think I am. I built it using my rusty original one as a template. You have to drill 4 holes in your back door to use it, 2 through the thick door hinges, but they work well.

This one was sized for a 285 tire and it cleared the rear bumper fine. Also, 3 mounting bolts vs. 2 on the original SMB one.

It could probably use a quick coat of paint before install and the welds aren't as pretty as you'd find on an SMB one but it's strong and will free up space under your van for a box, tank or whatever.

$50 plus shipping to wherever you are

Sorry Rob, he has paid me and I'm shipping today.

For some reason the forum won't let me edit my own post at the top.
