I can't believe this van is still available. Apparently I paid a bit too much for my 2001 7.3 this Spring. Your van has lower miles, more options, seems a little cleaner and is only listed for 3K more than i ended up paying...

Hey Steve, I cant believe it either. I've got at least 4 "serious" potential buyers. yet they are all at least 1000 miles away. lots of conversation over the phone. text message, pictures etc. its hard to describe how nice it is over the phone. I get it. a lot of money to commit to on pics and phone calls. its an 18 year old van. most say "that low of miles it must be worn out from sitting". far from it, ive been driving this almost daily since I got it, and it is far from worn out. its awesome. i am constantly thinking of ways trying to raise the funds i need and keep it!
I even thought about selling my king ranch pickup. but i have to be able to pull a gooseneck horse trailer! "trade the gooseneck for a bumper pull"?! believe me its not out of the question.
turtle III i sold was the same thing. most people said "its a 31 year old truck, who'd pay that kind of money for a worn out ford truck". buyer was shocked at the condition and agreed she stole it. just have to see it to believe it.
im confident the first one to make the trip will buy it.

My vehicles
1969 Bronco (drove it home 450 miles)
2005 VW Passat (drove it home 1,000 miles)
2001 Excursion (drove it home 1700 miles)
2006 Crown Vic (drove it home 2000 miles)

With older, unique vehicles, it takes a while to find the right buyer, but distance won't stop someone who really wants a vehicle.

It was a hard decision for us to sell our SMB, but we weren't getting enough use (long trips) with a really young kid in the house to justify that amount of capital in a van. We ended up with an Excursion and teardrop for far less money.

At some point in the future, who knows. I'm eligible to retire as of a few months ago, but I'll probably stick it out for another 3 - 3.5 years when I hit 59 1/2. At that point, maybe I'll see what camper vans 86Scotty has for sale.
