WTB 2WD SMB pop up van, no Ford 6.0's tho
I am looking for a 2WD SMB van with the pop up roof that has a downstairs bed big enough for comfortable use by two adults. The bed would need to be 48 x 72 at a minimum. I am too old to want to crawl up into the overhead bed and it they are too damn narrow for two adults anyhow.
So here is the deal......contact me if you have something close to the following please?
--pop up roof (has to fit in my carport per HOA rules),
--2WD, for same reason,
--gas engine if a ford, Chevy either gas or diesel (dodge has no diesel),
--mileage no greater than about 70,000,
--must have a decent working fridge, the bigger the better, up off the floor preferred,
--and a downstairs couch bed no smaller than 48x72.
Also would need to have the front passenger seat swivel or be able to be modified after purchase for that, a sink, room on the counter for a stove (if not already installed), room for a porta potti. I have cash on hand to buy the right van.
*
Since I am stuck with homeowner association rules here that will not let me park an "RV" in my driveway, if I had a camper van that was my daily driver and that fit into my carport, I would be allowed to keep it here. Last year I stupidly sold my 2000 Dodge SMB with a pop up roof that fit under this height.....so I miss having a camper van now.
If any one wants to trade up, I have a 21 foot 2004 B+ camper van (Forest River Lexington) with a Chevy 6.0 gasser, with only about 56,000 miles....Fully loaded with furnace, roof a/c, large fridge & freezer, hot water heater, dry bath toilet with shower, Lo hour Onan genny....would sell for about $19-$20,000, could trade down for a bit less.

Nothing wrong with Ford 6.0L in the vans.

Re: WTB 2WD SMB pop up van, no Ford 6.0's tho
I've been thinking of selling mine lately, just don't use it much. Had it for 2 1/2yrs only put about 6,000mi on it ( about 51,000 on it now). See the pics in my gallery, EB-51, 5.4 V8. Since those pics were taken I've added Bilstein shocks, American aluminum wheels, a steering stabilizer, Michelin LTX/2 tires, battery, a new radio and brakes. It has a sink, Fridge, microwave but no stove (open counter space), port-a-potty, awning, longer fold out couch, swivel seat, Star Cool A/C, table, pop-up, etc. Located now in FL, for the last 3 mo, has been in AZ prior to that and has always been covered. Only used a few times for camping, most miles have just been traveling.

Re: WTB 2WD SMB pop up van, no Ford 6.0's tho
Thx for info, pm sent....
Meanwhile, any others owners or sellers out there.....send me your FSBO finds please.
BTW, just found out that only the Dodge SMBs will fit under my carport....so please also keep an eye out for them, for me. Will still go with ford or Chevy, but would love to be able to park in my carport.
Thx and happy travels

You should look at GTRVs, too. Their roofs are very low profile (can barely tell it's a pop-up unless you know what you are looking at). They are fairly hard to find used, though.
