Jeffrey, it appears it does....looks like being born anywhere from the mid-1940's (post-WW2) to roughly 1960-1964 is categorized as Baby Boomer.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby_boomers

"There are varying timelines defining the start and the end of this cohort; demographers and researchers typically use birth years starting from the early- to mid-1940s and ending anywhere from 1960 to 1964."

Yes, I know I'm part of the problem... but at least I can say I was "van-lifeing" it before it was a hashtag :-)
That's my concern as well. Lack of infrastructure, basically.

I'm not worried about this happening I just try to accept it as the future fact. It's been happening already. Society's solution to too many people AKA "over use" is the same everywhere:

Fence with guard gate (fee)
Must stay in developed campground (fee)
Must have reservation for campground a year in advance (fee)
Must use the mass transit system to get from campground to the points of interest (paid for by fees)
Activity you enjoy there must only be done with the approved outfitter (fee)

All this is after a very long, highly contested, and publicly expensive due process at some level of government.

Ok, I'll get toff my tool box. Sometimes this subject fires me up as I've been through it a few times with other activities that were un-cool and became poplular.

Ditto except only activities deemed approved will be allowed.

Born March '51 so smack dab in the middle of the Boomer Generation.

I can't really recall when any sort of "van life" became appealing to me, had to coincide with the onset of a new-to-me major interest in our female species during my teen years?

These days vans are just far, far too convenient and more than useful for most everything I do. Currently owning three E-Series says something I believe. Of course I could simply be justifying that ownership?

So yeah if there's a "new found interest" in vans its because that old saying "what's old is new again........" is more than true.
