Re: getting started
I was at Coast Outfitter today going over details for my van conversion with Roy. Was that your van parked by the shop? If so looks really good.
cheers, Ian

Re: getting started
Probably meant 8 on 170mm, or 8 on 6" and went to the other one. I think Quigley is only doing the 8 on 170mm now because the older 8 on 6" F350 axles are harder to get, so it probably (2008?) came with 8 on 6" and had to be changed to match the new Quigley bolt pattern.
What are those rims by the way? I have a feeling there will be more than a few more sets showing up around here.

Re: getting started
Thanks Ian. Ya, that was probably my van there. Roy has been a great guy to deal with! Can't wait to get our van back.
Honestly, the wheels were stock 7 bolt pattern, before 4X4 conversion. 16" rims, not sure exact measurements for bolt pattern. Have 4 + spare sitting here to sell. Who would buy the things?

Re: getting started
Wow, I'm amazed. Most of the Google results are about how hard it is to find replacement or aftermarket rims, so you might do well selling those.
It looks like they come with "heavy duty" suspension options. I need to find one so I can say I've seen a 7-lug rim in real life... geeze can you imagine needing a rim in Mexico?

Re: getting started
Correction..........my mistake..............7 bolt was on hubcap only (false front, not real bolts). Went to take photos to post. When you remove the hub there was 8 bolt, I believe on 6 1/2. Sorry for the confusion.

Re: getting started
Yes, Roy really is great to deal with. There was a Sprinter and Ford van being converted while I was there. I had a really good look at the top that they put in the van - he has done an amazing job with that. A really low profile and excellent quality. I'm dropping my van off on February 14th, heading back to Cambodia and will come back to pick up the van in May. We'll use is for a cross country holiday then put it in storage and head back to Cambodia.
cheers, Ian

Coast Outfitter doesn't have a web page but they do the GTRV conversions http://www.gtrv.com/
The one I was looking at was a pop top, they do a T-top as well. Coast Outfitter is in Richmond, BC, Canada and if you like you can contact them directly by email. coastoutfitter@telus.net
cheers, Ian
