Who is planning to attend this Expo in early October? We should have a great group of Sportsmobile owners at this expo. We're planning to get in early.

The Expo is for anything from motorcycles to Earthroamers. There are usually parties and such put on by the vendors sometimes limited to owners of their products.

Hoping to go -- also hoping for event updates if possible ? In the mean time - Let's all pray for rain and light winds to help anyone living in the fire ravaged western states and for all the brave fire fighters dealing with "hell on earth !"

Great idea, I will be coming from MI. Anyone from MI, OH or PA going? I plan on leaving Late Oct. 6 or early on the 7th. Plan on rolling in on the 7th in time for happy hour : )

Expo West/Mountain/East are essentially giant rallies/tradeshows. There is most definitely a charge to get in and it's not cheap. Hundreds to camp, a huge turnoff for me personally. Google 'Overland Expo East'. You can get a day pass but can't take your vehicle anywhere near the camping areas unless you pay to.

Most popular overland vehicles (Toyota guys, Land Rover guys, Sportsmobile guys, Earthroamer guys) will have their own groups set up in the camping area and sometimes in the display/vendor area, and those are really more or less the same sometimes. None of these groups mind if you join their party (in my experience) but you can't camp with them if they are set up in the actual display/vendor area, which Sportsmobile (the company) often is. This doesn't mean an informal group won't be set up in the camping area.

You won't have any trouble mingling with like minded folks but keep an open mind when you show up. The organization of these events has gotten better over the years.......until it rains. In the east, it often rains.
