The original plan was to remove the factory lining and dynamat underneath, but it turns out there is already a dynamat type treatment underneath, and I didn't want to mess with the rivits or have it not go back properly.
I pulled back the corners and slipped about a notebook sized piece of dynamat in and then removed the back in place.
The hood of my Jeep became the new workbench. Have I mentioned 6 times yet that I don't really have a workshop?
Next I did the under of the console.
And the inside of the console.
Each drink holder got its own dynamat strips and then the surrounding area go stuffed with wallboard insulation.
The cat was exhausted from watching me work all day.
For some reason "StuffOnMyCat.com" always turns down my entries...
The foam got covered with Dynamat- this is where it really shines, like big sticky aluminum tape.
And installed!
Hopefully between the little side sheets and the inside the console patchwork the leg area will be a little cooler, and certainly my sodas won't cook in their holders anymore.
