90% sure they're Hella's.

I've bought some stuff from this place, and there's always eBay.

They are Hellas. Pretty decent too.
Much better than the front ones which are Hella 500s.

I agree, the lights are great. I've had headlights that weren't as good as my Hella backup lights in the bumper.

Yes. How's that for an answer? Mine are wired to come on along with the Ford backup lights, but I also have a switch to turn them on manually.

They are hooked up to the van reverse lights through a switch which also overrides the lights to on.

A SPDT ON*ON switch with the center wire going to the bumper lights and one outside wire connected to the van reverse lights-on 12v, the other to 12v.

It's why there is no light on the SMB reverse switch, because one way connects the lights to the van reverse lights and the other way turns them on manually, while simultaneously disconnecting them from the van reverse lights.

Somehow I managed to put a lighted toggle in place of the SMB switch (after driving for ½ hour with them on) and have it all still work. I can't remember what I did, but it's probably in my switch install thread.

Ours are able to be turned on at any time, van on or van off, in reverse or not in reverse. They do not come on when in reverse, but we turn them on when needed. They are wired to a lighted switch overhead. When used in conjunction with the overhead work light it gets nice and bright back there. (definitely a help for the backup camera at night)
