Delay on Danhard AC?

When I switch on my SB's Danhard AC unit, it takes it about 2 minutes or so to actually start running, even though the thermostat indicates it is calling for cooling immediately. Once that 2 minutes is up, the AC will kick in immediately whenever the thermostat calls for cooling. This happens no matter what the 120V power source - inverter or shore power, and no matter how long 120V has been available.

Does anybody know how to reduce or remove that delay? short of the obvious answer of leaving it on cooling all the time and just running the temp up to max if I don't want it on.

Mine is the same...I always find myself holding my breath until it 'kicks' in thinking it is broken! I think it might be the nature of the beast...if you plug that in the "search' feature, there are a couple more posts that discuss it further

Wowbagger, the Danhard manual states that "the thermostat has a built in 5 minute delay before restarting and the controller has a built in delay of 2 minutes if power is disconnected". There's no explanation of why the system is designed with these delays. Like CTB, I find the delay agonizing and am constantly watching for a fault message on the inverter/charger controller.
