Re: GMC Savana 4x4 van

Yeh except this one most likely is not really a 4x4...... May be a factory AWD version, but then again if so, it would have to be a 1500 and not 2500.

Seller seems bit confused about his rig.

I've seen a few listed as 2500 AWD models. Other people have posted saying they exist as well.

Re: GMC Savana 4x4 van

Add says "converted from new" which leads one to think it's not factory AWD. But got me.

I contacted the seller for an explanation of the 4x4 system.... anyone heard of this before?
"It is not converted-- all time 4 wheel drive was and still is an option with chevy/gmc--around $7000 more"

So yes on the factory 4x4, which means absolutely not a 2500? I saw the 6 lug pattern but I have seen that on a 3/4 ton truck before so it had me confused. AWD is only a 1500 option correct?

Re: GMC Savana 4x4 van

2500 is 3/4 ton, 3500 is 1 ton, and 1500 is 1/2 ton.

I thought AWD on a 2500 was rare, but possible (based on this thread)

Re: GMC Savana 4x4 van

I have one factory van from GM and it's an AWD, not a real 4x4. To make the transformation, you have to change the transfert case.

My van is a 2010 and they were only in the version 1500.

Before

After

Looks fantastic!! What all did you do to it? Maybe start thread in the show and tell area with the specs of your build, unless you have and i totally missed it.
