Re: 98 Starcool blowing fuse
Yes, on shore power the fan at the radiator keeps the Ford condenser pulling cool air. All the fans are DC as far as I know. The Starcool condenser fan under the driver only works when the shore power compressor is on. I've had the same rock issue there and that fan may be wired backwards but will work in either direction. The blower fan is at the back but it sounds like that is working for you.

Re: 98 Starcool blowing fuse
So the fan behind on the radiator, should that spin freely w/o power?

Re: 98 Starcool blowing fuse
Pretty sure it did. One thing I'm not sure of was if that one runs when the engine is running.

Re: 98 Starcool blowing fuse
I'll double check it on mine, but almost certain that the front fan should spin freely with power off. Sounds like it may be seized.

Re: 98 Starcool blowing fuse
Brian, that would be helpful. I have the Jegs part up and ready to order. If yours spins and mine doesn't I'll assume it's seized and needs to be replaced.

Re: 98 Starcool blowing fuse
Maybe cut in some good connectors, leave it disconnected and see if the fuse blows.

Re: 98 Starcool blowing fuse
Who's thinking! Good thought about the connectors, I will check to see if there is already connectors. If not will splice some in.

98 Starcool blowing fuse
Will check this morning on the fan. Otherwise, couldn't it just be unplugged to see if that stops the fuse issue? No need to complete the circuit IMO. The problem with mine was resistance from the seized fan. Remove the resistance and it should work if the problem lies there.

Whatever is easier. If the wire is bad he'll still have to cut at the fan to test the wire and whatever else is on that circuit if it's not dedicated. Mine has connectors at the fan.

Re: 98 Starcool blowing fuse
Just checked: the aux fan should be able to spin easily by hand. If yours can't, it's likely seized.
