I think it's OK. From what I've read, this is a normal operation with the norcold's. The small inside battery fans do not make anything colder...it just keeps a more even temp. I wouldn't be surprised that the refrigerator might even cycle on more. I was just freaked out that the door reaches those temps. Not the place to keep some items that are affected by too warm of temps like mayo.

Seems like that might have been the smaller model they were talking about. I'm no refrigeration engineer, but I just can't see it with the 0041, but perhaps underneath as the lower foam seems to be the thinnest. There's an insane amount of insulation on the box. The door is relatively thin in comparison so I would expect that is where noticiable losses would be happening (and/or the seal). At least I'm Norcold-free at this point!!

That was the post...thanks Charlie. I'd like to ask Wade if he cut the door in half. I'm just amassed of the loss in the door. I plan to run her till she dies and after that go with what you did. I might be knockin at your door .

I'm guessing the door comes apart, as mine has a replacement panel and the front trim isn't quite fitting back. My guess is 100% foam just like around the inside. Does the door feel cool from the outside?
With all of this information I decided that I would pull out our 4.0cubic foot Norcold and clean everything off and tightening fasteners /screws that may have loosened after 3.5 years of much use . I have just began to hear the buzzing that many of you have described and thought that now would be a good time to check everything out , I have a question that I was unable to find a definitive answer for and that is what type of tool if any do I need to remove the black intake and exhaust plenums on the top and bottom of the front of the unit .

The grills? They bottom snaps in place and reveals the sides, which cover the screws in the cabinet. After those are out you pull the fridge and the top grill is secured with bolts. See my dynamatting the fridge thread...
