Have been having some back issues of late. Anyone come up with a more back friendly way of raising the pop top?
Bikemanz: Is your top roughly as easy to raise as to lower? Do you have stuff on the PH roof like solar, etc? If it's alot easier to lower the top than to raise it, consider adjusting your springs.
Another trick (that I learned from LenS) is to close up the rig and turn the HVAC fan (dash) to high. This gives a surprising boost to the top raising (positive pressure).
You basically stick in in vertically, where you'd push anyway, and ratchet until near or over the breakover point. I'm not sure if people use a bit of wood to spread the load on the top side or not.
It also helps to have a window/door open if you're not using the HVAC boost.
