And the tank is permanently vented through the overflow drain... but yeah, you'd have to pour with the lid vent to keep it above the waterline. My no-name water can has a vent behind the handle.

I recently ordered some Blitz 31745 5-gal diesel cans from Amazon- $40 for two shipped seemed too good to be true, and it was. The 3rd party vendor (as most of Amazon is these days) sent two Midwest...
