I don't know that I have seen any special color for kerosene or jet fuel.
Yeah, the non-military colors MFCs are next to impossible to find south of the Canadian border. There's actually been one person on Craigslist who is trying to sell a new Blaze Orange one for $215. The ad's been running a while....

Re: New water cans

Relevant to this subject; you can rig an easy way to use these cans to fill your interior tank.

Re: New water cans

how will that be vented, though, to allow for the water to flow?

There is a vent on the lid of the water can beside the main spout.
I only open the vent once the can is up on the shelf and draining into the tank. Once the vent is open everything flows freely and there are no leaks.

Re: New water cans

And the tank is permanently vented through the overflow drain... but yeah, you'd have to pour with the lid vent to keep it above the waterline. My no-name water can has a vent behind the handle.

Re: New water cans

I just got my black Scepter MWC today. Based on a quick once-over, it appears identical to the LCI MWC.

If I get inspired, I may do a test/comparison of the solar heating between the desert sand and black MWCs.
