Or, with that top, you could put a small window unit in the back of the top, half in and half out. It wouldn't eat up too much space and wouldn't look too bad. Many people think window units look...

Welcome. It looks like a well thought out plan for 2. I'm curious about the air conditioner in the rear. Are you thinking below the floor or up high in the fixed top?
