There's a upfitter connection point in the B-pillar. 6-pin rectangle connector. Contains always hot and aux-switched hot. Ford sells pigtail if you won't want to splice.

Keep in mind the "auxiliary" battery in the V10 is not setup the same way as the dual battery in the diesels. The 2nd battery, on the passenger frame rail, is simply in parallel to the under-hood...

Have you cleaned the terminals on the aux battery? I had a similar problem once and that's all it was.

Keep in mind the factory isolator give preference to the starting battery, so it sometimes won't connect for 5-10 minutes after starting.

The van already has 12 hot source in the driver side B-pillar. I believe this is directly connected to the aux battery, and should not drain the primary batter.

Yes. Don't forget to select wire gauge based on distance. You may be able to just buy the diesel battery wire loom setup from Ford.

Diesels have 2 batteries that are frame mounted. Both have their own "trays" which are more like a box. The diesel frame batteries are in parallel as starting batteries which is different from the...
