If you want a good rebuild, I recommend Phil's transmission in Corvallis. Just a 3-hour tow truck ride away.... But I don't know how backed up they are. I can help with the towing arrangements if...

Me perosnally. I'd pick the Ford HD one over an Aamco job. The 4R100 is generally a good transmission, other than the POS torque converter Ford stuck behind the 7.3L.

If its just the flex-plate, or even a toasted torque converter (and debris hasn't taken other parts out with it) then a good shop could drop, repair, and replace in a couple hours.
