That's pretty much how we all doing it here, although I wouldn't use a solenoid to separate/combine batteries, I'd use one of the Blue Sea ACR battery separators.

....the seat bases use a male Torx Plus bit (not a regular Torx, although they kind of work)......you need the Plus style Torx.

I've got 285/70-17's ....roughly the same size as...

I've got 285/70-17's ....roughly the same size as 285/75-16's......and they rub a little when turning and hitting a bump....even after some fender trimming.

REF and a few others have some trick...
