He's just saying to make sure the new adaptor has the proper attachment for the speedo cable/etc. At this point, your best bet is to start shopping the local tranny shops & tell them what you plan to...

The 99-03 (7.3) will have the 4R110 tranny. One thing to consider with the Atlas, the adaptor used by SMB is exclusive to them, and I don't think they'll sell them separate.

Couldn't find any info on the website..... Do you know where it is???

As far as the output shaft, it needs to be swapped to a 4x4 unit in order to work without a special adapter. Quigley & SMB...
