Thanks for the ideas. Those steal core straps may be the way to go .That would ease my concern about the sun rotting the straps and loosing the cans going down the road.

I just got a Aluminess rear bumper with the standard swing arm box . I am putting four nato or spectre style fuel cans on it. Has anybody come up with a trick way of securing the cans to the box?...
