It's liquid rubber I had laying around, I've been using it on the van's floor and it bonds really well to metal.

I just finished removing the spare tire mount, using the sawzall.

I cut on my red lines, take a look.

I also drew up the box I'm going to have fabricated like I mentioned earlier.

Your van seems to be older than mine(2010), maybe they changed it in 2008 when they upgraded the E series?

Actually I will have the box fabricated out off galvanized steel, maybe...

I red those threads and they don't show where to cut to remove the spare tire mount.

I just don't want to cut anything I shouldn't That's all.

The box itself is not the question.

Hi Ray,

No it's not that cable thing to lower the spare, I already unbolted that one.
It seems to have wires connected to it and it's about the same size as a battery.

I aleady did a search...
