In that case, a little before the Park entrance is FR22 and DeMotte Campground on your right. Across the road is FR610/11. If you follow 611 about 6 miles back you will be on the rim of a side canyon...

My only suggestion would be Toroweap or in that area. The North Rim is still closed for the season, but the road should be plowed no later than the 15th.

There is plenty of dispersed camping...
