Someday I'll add a flush mount stove.. As while I like having one inside, I don't use it much.
In the meantime, I came up with a way to make the stove more useful when not in use. As a cutting board.
Bought a cheap cutting board at the store, cut it down to size, then countersunk threaded inserts into the bottom:
Drilled holes in the stove top in corresponding location for small thumbscrew jobbies:
Lay some foam tape to prevent rattling:
Install newly sanded and oiled cutting board:
Now I have a nice cutting board that is removable if needed for cleaning, but generally will just live there.
