2008 Coach House Platinum 272LFS
Not mine, never seen the vehicle. Its kind of neat, won't get you everywhere a smaller SMB could go but you'd be traveling in style.

Then, in the fall of 2012 when we took the Coach House factory tour, we actually talked with the guy that built it. If it's the one we saw, it was build for a movie executive in LA, originally. The factory guy told us they had done maybe a dozen of these 4x4 rigs over the years.
Their coaches are really nice (of course, we think that because we eventually bought one), but I had my doubts about how much use the 4x4 would be on a motor home this size. You definitely aren't going to be canyon running or rock crawling with that!
Nice motorhome, though!
Oh, yeah -- the nomenclature Coach House uses is a bit strange -- that "272" is actually 31 feet long. Our "241" is 25'9". The "241" placard has been useful a couple of times, though, when park campgrounds had length limits. "Oh, sure, it's under 25', see the label?"...! So far, nobody has called us on it.

Yeah, the RV industry likes to sandbag on sizes. Many motorhomes are a good couple feet longer than their model numbers suggest.
I think my new trailer is the worst offender though. It's a "31KQBS" which implies a 31-ft kitchen, queen bedroom, and bunkroom slide-outs, but the specs say it's 37'-7"!
Well, I picked it up since I have 37'-6" of RV parking space in my driveway. Guess what? It's really 39' not including the spare tire!
The good news is the DMV hasn't caught on yet, and still registers by model number, so I'm paying for 31' instead of 39' (Oregon charges by the foot).

Well here's another a few years older, fewer miles and diesel. The interior wood is much lighter in color though.

That is a departure angle that would not make it out of my driveway- even on the gradual side.

Hi,
That wouldn't make it through the potholes on my driveway. Wow.
Regards,
Gavin
