2006 Ford E350 Transformer Sportsmobile 4wd For Sale
Selling my 2006 Sportsmobile Transformer 4WD Ford E350. 108,750 miles on the 5.6 gas V8. Bought this of my neighbor who had the conversion done on the van which he bought with about 16k miles on it. Transformer is a rare conversion which can be a cargo van, passenger van with seating for 9, or a camper with the bed that can be removed. Has a electric pop top with the bed up top. Comes with the kitchen unit with a sink, refrigerator, and a microwave. New solar panel up top feeds the newish auxillary battery. Also has an inverter to run the microwave and the refrigerator. Has the locking storage in the back floor. Replaced the brake pads and installed a new Motorcraft fuel pump. Has been used but not abused for camping so there are a few scratches and dings. Could use a new rear seat as the previous owners dog did some damage to it. It should be pretty easy to find a used one. I have the rear seat for it as well. Has Michelin tires with plenty of tread. Runs and shifts well. The V8 is not a speed burner but it is the most reliable of the engines. My family is just a little large to camp in it comfortably. Looking to get $36k for it per my estimate. I am sure the forum will let me know if that seems fair or not. Would appreciate your feedback as many of you are more familiar with the value of Sportsmobiles than I am. Located in Telluride, Colorado.

Looks nice. Do you sleep longitudinally on the bed or across? How many does it seat with the bed deployed?

More photos and info
Thanks! The rear bed platform runs side to side in the van. The bench in the rear seats three. I will include a picture of the brochure of the different ways it transforms (hence the name).

As I stated earlier 4x4 is what it is. I would never own a 2x4 camper for back country driving, at least not without a 15k or bigger winch! That does not mean you will not get stuck or spin out on pack, but it lowers the probability by ten fold! The 1st trip in snow whether pack or powder will have you wishing you had gone 4x4! Now to add to that, with a full conversion van, the 1st fill up and steep grade will have you wishing you had a diesel. Knowing what I have learned, and pretty much already knew, I would find a diesel above a 4x4 and convert a diesel to 4x4 before buying a gas 4x4. AGAIN this is MY opinion. I own diesel and drive them everyday there is no substitution for torque on a heavy vehicle. You need to understand third world countries deal with vast distance and boondock locations and high price petrol. Australia, Asia, South America, all those countries choice of power DIESEL. When the world ends what is going to sit idle and be in plentifull, yes diesel truck with 100 gallon tanks, I know it is a bit of a stretch as a walking dead fan! Ha! The Hemi's, Coyote's and LS are great for hot rods not a 4 ton van! If you want to be on the skinny all the time on grades get a gasser.

If it's OK with you, I can clean up your posts, REF's post and my own, just to keep this thread on-track.

Clean up post
Sure, it is getting a bit off topic! Thanks, as I am not sure how that works.
