Got Fun??? Fantastic, fully contained rig ready for more amazing experiences and / or a temporary or full-time nomadic lifestyle. Just add water — no shaking or stirring required. 😁

This van is looking for a new adventure partner — great for one person, a couple, a family. Is this you or someone you know?
****************
For sale: A loaded, low-mileage, 2006 Ford V-10 E350 van with a Sportsmobile custom EB50 / “50” layout; fixed-top, two-wheel drive. Rig is located in San Francisco, CA, 17 minutes from the San Francisco International Airport (SFO).

Asking $44,900
We are motivated to sell.

Offers considered for this very clean, very well-appointed, ready-to-go cross-country Sportsmobile.

Highlights:Rear AC, solar, hot water, larger water tank, inverter, interior heat, rear shower, basement storage box, new tires and an Aluminess Spare Tire Swing Arm.

Background: We’ve enjoyed owning and very lightly using this second rig for the past two years. We purchased it from the original owner who had SMB Fresno build a custom layout for his special needs. The build was spec’d to include a wonderful array of enjoyable and functional options, all based around the EB50 floorplan.

It is ready to hit the road right away for fantastic adventures and having lots of fun in a very comfortable rig!

We strongly considered converting it to 4x4 since it is such a great platform and in perfect condition for conversion.

The fixed-top is really convenient. We love the ease of just pulling up to camp, boondock, go stealth, etc. and the ability to stand up (six-feet approx. standing height).
****************
DRIVETRAIN
Mileage is 90,300 on a well-maintained, smooth-running V10 engine Mated to the V10 is the robust five-speed 5r110 transmission. Shifts are smooth, and the tow / haul feature is great. All of the power is transferred via the limited slip 4.10-geared, semi-float rear axle. Braking is via the four-wheel disc brakes, and the rear parking brake holds firmly. The five-months old 245 / 75-16 Cooper All Season tires have only about 1,000 miles on them.

EXTERIOR
This is a very handsome rig in excellent condition. For a van of this year and mileage, we rate the exterior condition a 9-out-of-10 (10 being best).

Fixed Top: Recently refinished fiberglass top in color-matched Raptor. Looks great and should last for years!
Body: Glossy Gold Ash color paint (very nice, muted greenish tint). As expected for any rig, there are few small scratches here and there, the leading edge of the hood has some small rock chips, and there is a small line of fade along the aft edge of the hood.

INTERIOR
We rate the interior condition a 8.5-out-of-10 - 8.5 only due to some mobility related mods that were removed that left a few attachment points.

This fully self-contained rig comes with an RVIA (RV Industry Association) sticker. Many private campgrounds require vehicles to have an affixed RVIA sticker in order to stay / camp.

The plush, upholstered interior is very clean with minimal wear, and all the cabinets and wall trims have just received a “face lift.” The bench seat, which can accommodate three passengers, very easily flips down to create a very comfortable bed. The cabin looks great, and it’s nice and bright inside during the day and at night.

Whether lounging, cooking / heating food, hosting guests or cleaning up, this roomy rig is very comfortable with its built-in microwave, portable stove, removable interior table, thermostatic heat, air conditioning, and a sink with hot and cold running water. You can also rock out or relax with your favorite playlists streaming through the excellent stereo / sound system.

Lots of storage cabinets and shelves all over (even has basement storage) means the interior can stay clutter-free when you’re on the road or living as a nomad.

The unique open space located behind the driver seat creates a very flexible environment to accommodate many usages scenarios, temporary or permanent. The rig can be easily adapted for additional seating, cabinet reconfiguration, a chest freezer, gear storage (perfect for stashing / hanging backpacks, wet suits, climbing, snow-sports, etc. gear), and many other uses.

Both the driver and passenger seats have swivel bases, which enables the seats to rotate 180° and turn the large cabin area into an instant “living room” — great for entertaining guests, or just having lots of extra room to move around. Note: the power driver’s seat pedestal can be reinstalled in lieu of swivel base.

Exterior Equipment:
• Ceiling Fan - Maxx Fan – multiple speed, thermostat. Reversible fan brings in or evacuates air for quick cooling. Remote included. Great for keeping internal temperatures down when away from the rig.
• Solar Panel - 170-watt solar panel routed to a just-installed Victron 75/15 Smart MPPT (Bluetooth) solar controller
• Trailer hitch - OEM 10,000-lb, with 7-pin connector
• ToyLok – a really cool, retractable cable lock system mounted to the frame under the bumper. Great for securing bikes, a generator, external solar panels, etc.
• Aluminess Spare Tire Swing Arm carrier - includes the full-size spare.
• Exterior lighting – on both driver and passenger (motion-sensing LED) sides
• Two crank-out awning windows - CR Laurence FWS904RS. They work perfectly, with tight cranks and well-sealed windows.

Interior Equipment / Systems
• Cabin heating – Suburban propane heater
• Cabin cooling / Rear A/C - Starcool III; runs on engine power or shore power
• Sink with running water (hot and cold)
• Water and holding tanks - 16.5-gallon capacity water; 10-gallon Holding Tank for full self-containment

• House Battery - Lifeline 4D ( 2.5 years old) holds 12.8 VDC on resting charge
• Even more storage – below-the-floor extra-large basement box
• Shower – love taking a shower outdoors in the summer heat? There’s a shower head with hot and cold faucets just inside the rear doors. Also perfect for washing down gear.
• Privacy – day / night roman shade-like window coverings on all interior cabin windows
• Front cabin privacy - SMB snap in privacy curtain matches the interior fabric and is like new
• Dining / work table – tripod mount interior table stows under the couch
• Security / Alarm system - Avital AviStart 4400 with remote start

Great looking van - love the color. Question.. how has the large side door been changed so that it opens up so wide? Normally that door will only swing out to just past 90 degrees. Has the door check for that door been removed or modified?

The door check has a spring lever keeping it in place, it can be depressed to release the door check so the door can swing open past 90*
Works on the rear doors too.

Nicely put together ad there Ray!
Great looking rig and priced right. GLWS!

Whoever ends up with should know they will not only be getting a well sorted rig that’s been meticulously gone through thoroughly, but it also comes with complementary, transferable ownership, 24hr. private mechanical consultant concierge services for the life of the van, courtesy of 1der………

Well, not necessarily 24/7 but I do stay available.

It is true, whoever buys this will be getting a really sound, ready to cross the country rig.

Price drop: $41,900

We would like this rig to find a new home.

A fold down bench seat can be added behind the driver seat to provide additional seating when needed and can stow out of the way. The multi use space behind the driver seat is a unique feature of this 50 layout.

That second row option is sweet.
