Running board w/ Wheel Flares/ Bushwacker alternative
One complete fiberglass flare/running board combo for passenger side. It is in really good condition and is the option SMB used for its 2WD vans. First dibs is to someone who wants the full piece, I also have the mounting hardware for both sides. Pick up only in San Francisco. The driver side running board was cracked, flares are fine, so I salvaged the wheel flare parts so they could be used for flares ala Bushwacker. This full running board is FREE to a person who needs it.
If no one wants the full running board and anyone else is looking for a cheap flare solution then I can cut the wheel flares off the passenger side. This will make a set of four flares which will require a bit of shaping to look right, but it can be done! Check with gcvt, he did this on his rig an they look dang good.
The cut flares can be shipped. If the flares are wanted, lets say $20 for the four pieces plus shipping to cover some of the effort to get it all done. Thxs!

Ray I'll take them if you can turn the pass side into flares too.
Thanks,
Robert

Excellent! I will give it until Tomorrow night to see if anyone wants the whole board. Then I can cut them out and pack them up on Sunday. I will be in San Rafael on the 16th, 21st, and 23rd, can we meet there?

I've come across a couple mentions of reusing fiberglass fender flares, including the one above. I'd like to learn more about this. Is there a specific thread with pictures? I've recently removed the fiberglass running boards from my van and am hoping to cut off and reuse the fender flare bits. I'm not sure I possess the artistry required but thought I'd give it a shot. Any further info available?

Ray it looks like you cut the driver's side to extend all the way to the bottom of the wheel well, right? I like them like that as opposed to the way GCVT stopped his at the rocker line.

I did this a few years ago for about $20 and some spray paint. There is a picture in my gallery (if it doesn't show in this thread) to help convince others who are on a budget too!
