Re: Trans Antartic Expedition with 2 6x6 Econolines
If you like to take a good book with you for those rainy days or cold evenings try: "The Last Place on Earth". The story of Scott and Amundson "race" to the south pole. Scott died (bad planning, bad equipment, not bothering to understand the environment) and Amundson made it look easy (good planning, good equipment, and learning to live in the environment). Of course Scott became famous for his hardship, suffering and dying. Amundson is half forgotten for making it look easy with skill and preparedness.
Good food for thought on preparedness, lessons in survival and leadership. Amazon has the book for about $12.
