Nice, I always jam some stuff there, and inevitably half of it ends up on the floor after a twisty road.

Looks like a perfect match.. was it color matched custom or just 'white'?

I color matched, but the Raptor liner tint-able is white. Right now in person the top looks really white, but not bad. Glad this project is done. Now I need to order my rails and towers to install kayak carrier back.

TexGX, I'm considering Raptor liner for my rocker panels and hood and I would just do it in the standard black. Was it pretty easy to get the texture right, and how much did you use in doing your roof?

Thx,

Whit

WhitH,

I used all four bottles, but three would of worked. I set compressor at 50psi and it seemed to work nice. There is a tread on application I followed. Worked great and can't beat price.

My lucky day with a 5.4

Yesterday I jumped into the van to do a beer run and when I started it, it was missing and running poorly for the first time ever. I just finished a 10K mile road trip where it ran flawlessly, and now it craps out in my driveway? WTF? I guess somedays you get lucky. Anyway, I continued to the store in hopes it would fix it self, but of course, no luck. Fortunately, it finally set a check engine light. Once I got back and had the proper frosty beverage in my hand, I cycled the Scangauge to find the codes, looked them up on the interweb and found that cylinder number 5 was not firing. Ok, the most likely problem was the coil pack, and it just so happens I had a new spare in the back along with a new fuel pump, fuel pressure gauge, belt and more. Thinking that this shouldn't take long, I opened the hood and spent the next ten minutes just trying to see where the coil for number 5 was. Once I found it, I spent another 40 minutes trying to determine what size socket I needed to remove the bolt. It turns out to be 7mm, and I wrote it on my tool box lid for next time. Getting that bolt out was sorta like trying to thread a needle while wearing boxing gloves.
The old coil looked fine, but the new one went in. The factory manual was useless, the instructions simply said "remove the coil, and install the new one" I got even more lucky though as number 5 is the easiest one to get to, I can't imagine getting 6 or 7 out. Anyway, once buttoned up, were back to running smoothly. Had this happened in the wilderness, I would have had real problems since I didn't have a list of codes to determine what set the check engine light. I'll print one out before the next trip, and I think I'll get some additional spare sensors. I'm glad luck was on my side this time...........

Lucky you if it fixed it! I just had the same problem with number 7, but on my Expedition and not a 5.4 van. Same motor almost, and just about as fun to get to even on a truck. They put the engines so far back in the Triton trucks that about half of it is under the dash. Anyway, looks like mine is an injector. Right after I replaced the coil pack in an Advance Auto parking lot the problem came back. so I'm going to replace them all. If you pull the doghouse on your van I bet the rear 6 are probably accessible.

Glad you accomplished your mission though!

Not so much, but at least with a mirror, you can see them.
