we routed the wires behind the drivers front fender, through the existing grommet near the drivers door (behind the fender) and into the drivers footwell. this kept the wires out of the way in a 6.0 engine bay and required no drilling. rebar wire is really helpful for this.

here's how we installed switches in the plastic trim piece.
the 4-switch panel is soon to be a 6-switch panel.
It all avoids the metal framework behind the plastic.
