Steps look good! Did you notice a difference with the tires? How much did you change in size? I went from a wide 33 down to a narrow 32 on Polar Bear and actually didn't notice much difference at all. I think it's my weird engine... not much hp but lots of torque which, if I understand what I read correctly, means I can move a lot of metal off the line but I'll never get it up to high speed unless I'm pointed down hill. I'm kinda wishing I'd stayed at a 33 now... or at least gone with a slightly wider tire. I went narrow because I was having trouble in snow and ice, but that turned out to be a break issue which is now resolved.

Re: Betty #2

I went from the 285 75 16 to an 265 75 16 so about an inch smaller around but the big diff is that they are 30 lbs lighter per tire.
Yes the differance is amazing i have twice as much power and the tranny shifts like it was new and I thought is was shoot in fact I went to a tranny shop on wedsday and had it looked at he said it is in great shape and needed nothing. so it was only the tire size and weight.

Ah, sounds like the tires were upgraded but the gear ratio was neglected! Glad it worked out for you. Those new rims are shiny. The old wheels look decent, you should be able to get some cash out of them.

Re: Betty #2

Betty,

Looking really good, making me look bad for not getting mine done yet, lol 4 kids doesn't help. But I also want to through out there that I have access to another Euro Van Top and wondered what you paid for yours and if there was any other interest.

Keep up the good work and let me know if I can help, I've come up with a lot of good things for our build (including a killer rear AC & heater unit that runs off you gas tank) (half of it being Espar) that I can get for below half price along with a hole slue of others odds, ends & tips etc.

Cheers

Whole slew?

Not to be a grammar nazi, but colloquialisms always fascinate me.
