Fuel Pump Failure 2007 v_10

With only 4,000 miles on our new SMB Ford v-10 we experienced a fuel pump faiure. This was afer a normal drive and upon an attempted re-start. The engine started, ran rough for 20 seconds then quit. There was no prior symptom, or warnings, smell etc.
Luck was with us as we were 5 miles from a dealer in town and not in the desert, yet a tow truck was needed and an unexpected overnight room and rental.
SMB was responsive and talked with the Ford dealer service mgr. and told them that this was the original Ford pump , just installed in a different tank.
We were very fortunate to get an overnight delivery and next day replacement.
Any other experiences with this very early pump failure on the e-350?
