Ray will also provide you with instructions, but here goes, I saw in the other thread you might be a bit intimidated by the process and are now selling the awning.
The SMB mounts require drilling into the outer skin of the van and use expansion bolts to hold, they are prone to cause stress cracks in the sheet metal, they often fail and pull out, causing more damage in the process, unbolt them from the awning and discard, you don’t have to drill them out, just crank open the awning for access to the bolt inside the case.
The Z brackets attach to the gutter with clamp bolts, no drilling into the van required, they replace the SMB mount altogether.
Remove the old mounts from the awning if they’re attached, measure out for proper install locations on the 2 new rear mounts, open the front door and barn doors to install the front bracket, sits right on the B pillar. Get a friend to help you hang the awning on the Z mounts, position it, crank out the awning, secure the legs, pop your top, open up the windows and screens for access to the back side, mark out your holes, drill out your bolt holes in the aluminum case where they line up with the holes in the brackets, careful not to drill into the awning fabric, bolt and secure the awning to the bracket. Tighten everything. Done.
