Extreme Air

I have posed this questtion before, but now since we have a true expert with us I will ask again. I have the extreme air, and tank. I am told to install a tee in the system to allow a more direct route for air for air ups.
Does anyone know at what pressure the tank pressure regulator kicks off the compressor? Is there an approximate time for this tank to fill?
When I last checked mine, an 07, the compressor pump never did shut off and I did not notice any air bleeding off, as the pump ran. I am assuming the pump will shut off when the tank is at a certain pressure. Right or wrong?
