It all depends on what you want to do with it. 4x4 is great on snow, great on beaches, good for mud and obviously good off road.

Extended body vs Regular body pros and cons?
I'm guessing any difference in gas mileage will be minimal, The extra space would be nice if you were planning on living it it for more than a week at a time. Parking may be a little more difficult...

What to see in Colorado & Utah?
I'll be leaving Delaware for Colorado and Utah in about a week.
