The 4wd was installed at Advanced 4WD in Salt Lake City.

I don't think the speakers were modified -- I'll look into that. I saw a radio/cd player on ebay a few weeks ago but it was exorbitantly priced (100s of dollars which seemed a bit bizare to me).

OK, I lubed the latch today at it SEEMED to hold on a not too long bumpy road trip. I think I will give it another shot tomorrow for good measure (I didn't over-lube) and see how that works.
