I just had Bilstein 7100's put in the rear of my Jeep. Made me think of two things related to your post:

1. The distance to the bumpstop.
2. Dave at Extreme had to convert the top of the shock...

You strike me as someone who probably already knows this, but just in case...

If you have a way to measure how far the shock can compress before it bottoms out, it should be as easy as...
