Agree, you need to plan it based on your needs. The Xantrex 600w that I installed was $250 and provides more than enough amps for our needs. They make inverters in all sorts of different wattages,...

Adding an inverter to SMB

I am planning to add a 700w inverter to my SMB so I can provide power to the 110v receptacles when we are not on shore power. There are no built in 110v appliances i.e. microwave, AC etc.
