According to my alarm instructions the valet is the same as the bypass (Avatal or something). Your alarm instructions should tell you what it is- either way part of the alarm system.

If it's hidden from plain view it's probably an alarm bypass- you have to hold the switch and turn the key in the ignition to bypass the alarm without a key fab.
