I was going to say, you would need a lock kit otherwise the sensors would get stolen.

The TPMS systems that replace your stems don't use a rubber base as far as I can tell.

There are also metal stems that have a rubber base. Both of those wheels, the steelie and the alloy really have the stem facing outwards, mine face more towards the hub. Personally I think you are...

I have a Hella system on my Subaru (TSD rally car) and it works perfectly. Looks like replacement sensors and stuff getting harder to get, the local tire place just broke one of mine.
