I've read through those other two posts, but didn't find any real good info about either making a custom unit or buying one that works off the shelf. I want to put one on, just want it to make sense...

I have a 7.3 '02 E350 Sportsmobile and the lower intake part of my airbox has cracked in multiple places. I figure this might be a good time to sort out a snorkel for the van, instead of replacing...
