You don't have to fear the handle. The jack functions in such a way that it can only snap up on you if you let go of it before it locks into position at the end of the downward or upward movement....

Using the Hilift in a receiver will work to a point but I wouldn't recommend trying to lift front or rear off the ground, too much weight.

I have done this but only so I could get the bottle jack under the axel. Then I had to lower the Hilift and remove the wheel hooks to change the tire. One issue I encountered was the Hilift making...

I have lifted the rear off the gound on a flat,level, hard surface but it isn't very safe or stable. My bumper has a stamp on it that says it is capable of towing 5000# with a tongue weight of 500#....
