Thanks Eli! That's exactly what I had ended up doing. Brackets are holding up perfectly so far, 1000 miles of sometimes bone-jarringly bumpy freeway in the last couple of days.

For those of you using Eli's brackets - where did you drill through into the case? I'd like to avoid drilling into the wrong spot, if possible :)
