I also have had a PCM go bad, it didn't leave me stranded, but if I was in Namibia, I would have been there longer then I would have liked.

This is the only thing that has ever left me stranded! I would suggest good batteries, and make sure the alternator/s are in good working order, the 7.3 doesn't respond well to low voltage, and a...
