First time my rig has had anything other than BFG A/T's on it. Here are the one day old Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs 315-75-R16. Look great, waiting for a trip (4 days off).

Fellow Vanners,
My BFG KO2s are nearing the end. Unfortunately, I cannot replace them as they are not available here in Colombia in a load range E in the size I need, 285/75/16. So, I’ve narrowed it down to 4 tires I can get here.
My van, like a lot of your vans, is heavy. I will be driving from Colombia to Argentina and want a tire with decent road manners and good offroad performance and longevity in rocks, mud, sand. Even better than the KO2s I currently have. I also want a tire that doesn’t throw rocks. Sounds funny but the BFG KO2s didn’t pick up and throw rocks at the body unlike a previous set of Michellin ATs which peppered the wheel wells.
Anyway, your feedback and personal experiences with any of these 4 tires please. All are load range E rated for 3750 lbs.
Hankook RT03 Dynapro M/T (59lbs)
Nitto Trail Grappler M/T (70lbs)
Yokohama G003 Geolander M/T (60lbs)
Toyo Open Country M/T (67lbs)

I've only had personal experience with the Toyo M/T's (almost 20yrs worth & multiple Vehicles) and currently running my second set on the Van. Firm believer in the performance of these tires and would definitely recommend.
Highest load range in the group, excellent off road traction, and I have had no issues in either water or snow.
Know the sidewalls are not as forgiving as other choices (I've aired down to 15lbs and barely get sidewalls to expand), on the other hand the aggressive tread functions famously.
Usually get about 40+ miles from the tires, but I commit to rotating about every 8K miles and make sure FE alignment is good.
They do produce a little more noise than the versions designed more for road travel (like the R/T's), but its not much.
Knocking on wood as I say; I've never had a flat, punctured a sidewall, or had uneven or awkward wear. Mostly they require very little weight to balance, in my book that speaks to quality of craftsmanship.

Falken AT3W 305/65/18 on Vision Rocker rims. Very pleased with the set up so far. Not noise on the road and great grip on snow.

No more bald tires!
Finally got some new tires the other day . Slapped some new bfg ko2 285/75r16 on my rattle canned black eagle alloys . So many tire options I was stressing out on deciding since your stuck with them a few years . So far I’m diggen them!

Can you get Nitto Ridge Grapplers there? They were made specifically for heavy overland type rigs like ours and I've heard nothing but good things about them. They come in your size and they will be my next tire. If you can track those down that would be my vote.

That’s great feedback, thank you.
I’ve decided the M/T Toyos will be the tires I get right before I leave Colombia and head further south.

Unfortunately not. I think those would have been a good choice as well.
I’m aiming at getting the Toyo M/Ts.
